I really wanted to like this film. Indeed, Turner has always been a popular artist among the students on our Europe Study terms, and I had hoped that this film could be a recommended addition. I think my biggest comment would be that it didn't succeed much in helping me appreciate or understand his art. And his story wasn't told in a way that creates interest or much empathy.
